You can cancel a payment that is “unclaimed” and the user is “unregistered”

Uncategorized September 22nd, 2008

You can’t retract a completed payment. You can cancel a payment that is “unclaimed” and the user is “unregistered” - all other payments have to be refunded.

Is this the $1,400 computer purchased from a low feedback seller? Personally,, I would be relieved to get out of that purchase - there is only $200 worth of buyer protection on that auction.

Tell the seller to log into their Paypal account, find the transaction and click on “Details” then to locate the “Refund” link to refund your payment. If they become unresponsive and you don’t have any refund initiated in the next week then file a dispute through Paypal. Log into your Paypal account and click on the Resolution Center link and “Report a Problem”.

paypal complaint

Uncategorized September 21st, 2008

I accidently closed a complaint - I have not received an item I paid for on Aug. 12–I had filed a complaint with ebay and paypal–finally heard from seller after many messages-stated she was in a bad accident-she would check into the item. She has not answered any messages since this–I accidently clicked that I had received the item on paypal buyer complaint now they keep saying complaint is closed and won’t let me open it again??? Frustrating. I messaged the seller today asking for her to refund my money-no answer yet.

Get a good pal to tutor you in the basics of the game

Start reading the sports page. You need to understand what is going on in the football world. At first very little might make sense but keep reading, you’ll be surprised at how much you can actually learn. For a high level overview listen to the sports segment on your local network news. ESPN has a great web site where you can always find the latest stats on all the teams. At the very least try to know the latest disputed calls, injuries and controversies.

I paid with eCheck via Paypal

Uncategorized September 20th, 2008

Neither can be cancelled. The seller will have to refund one of the payments.

Not sure why you would pay by echeck - add a debit or credit card to your Paypal account as a backup funding source and even your bank transfer payments will be “instant”.

In the case of an open capacitor there will be no ohmmeter indication

Uncategorized, shipping September 20th, 2008

1) Discharge the capacitor by shortening its leads. that is - use a wire and connect the leads of the capacitor together. this will discharge it.

2) Put your multimeter in the high ranges 10k-1m

3) Connect multimeter to capacitor leads(observe the polarity if electrolytic). at soon as the leads make contact, the meter will swing near zero. it will then move slowly toward infinity. finally the meter would come to be infinite ohms because the capacitor is being charged by the battery of the multimeter.

4) If the capacitor is bad, it will go to zero ohms and remain there. this is called a shortened capacitor

5) In the case of an open capacitor there will be no ohmmeter indication.

6) Some capacitors have a low dielectric leakage. you will know this if the ohmmeter comes to rest at a point lower than infinite. test a known good capacitor of the same type to be sure.

PS: This test works for large capacitors. Tiny capacitors can only be checked with a capacitance meter, or by using them in an AC circuit and checking for variation from calculated voltage drop.

we aren’t talking about alot of money either, like $80

Uncategorized September 20th, 2008

These people sent me the wrong item and would not swap it for the correct item which was a Large mans silver Yurman bracelet. The sent me a dainty smaller version of what I ordered. Realizing their mistake and knowing they would lose money on the deal (we aren’t talking about alot of money either, like $80) they choose to offer a refund. When I let them know I did not want a refund, I wanted the item I purchased and paid for, they sent several rude and threatening emails (involving suing me)! Order at your own risk! These people don’t have a clue what honesty and honoring their word means!

cancelling automatic payment with PayPal

Uncategorized September 19th, 2008

Paypal doesn’t charge you for anything on a monthly basis. Even if you have Ebay fees set up to be paid for automatically through Paypal you don’t get billed unless you listed something on Ebay.

Did you sign up for some service that bills your Paypal account monthly - perhaps a subscription? Here is what I found on the Paypal website:

How do I cancel a subscription? Question : Answer : You can cancel your subscription from your transaction history.

A subscription can be canceled up to the day of the next scheduled payment.

Here’s How:

Click My Account.
Click History at the top of the page.
Select Subscriptions from the Show menu.
Check the From box and change the date back 2 years.
Click Search.
Click Details to view the details of a specific Subscription Creation.
Click Cancel Subscription.
Click Cancel Subscription again.

Uncategorized September 8th, 2008

I got the following error:

This payment cannot be completed because your credit card has been denied by your credit card issuer. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer’s customer service department. You may want to try using a different credit card or choose eCheck instead. To do this, please click the More Payment Options link.

I Spoke to the bank I they told me that everthing is Ok.

What can I Do?

Perhaps calling PayPal directly will help:

I recieved an email from “service@paypal.com”

Uncategorized September 8th, 2008

I clicked on the link in the email and it brought me to an unsecure site (no “s” after the http). I couldn’t trust this site, so I signed in through a seperate window and went to the resolution window as instructed in the email. I found no issues there, and the case number referred to in the email is no where to be found. I would like to verify my account status, and be assured this was/is indeed a bogus email.
i got that same blasted phish [bogus] email about 5 times….and once in french….i reported it to paypal- no action……..if you gave them your password…..i.e.- directly on the email- then change everything…….contact paypal immediately…..if you kept that email……just scroll to the bottom of it……you may see a note in blue letters saying “full headers”……ok- just click on this…….and forward it to paypal……hopefully, they can trace the origin of the phish thing……i will dig up a saved phish of my own and also send it to paypal when i get a chance……..would suggest that you cancel your bank account…..and any credit cards attached to it…..open a new account…..with a bank debit card……..only keep enough bread in the bank account to cover paypal purchases….and get money out of the paypal account whenever it builds up to over 5 bucks…….and be careful…..!!!!!!!that phish looked legit…….never go through any “paypal’ emails to log on to paypal………. it is a shame that paypal has not issued warnings about this………..it is a shame that ebayers are on their own……….good luck……[i had to figure out all this.....ebayers tend to have a cavalier attitude about phish.....'oh i delete those'........]…..hope this helped…….ron
